• Type of Fabric: Nice mid-to-heavyweight (7.64 oz/square yard) decorator (drapery or upholstery) fabric with subtle horizontal "striations" woven into the fabric. From a distance, the fabric appears to be a solid color but close up, you see the subtle horizontal lines and slight color variations. Tightly woven. Has a nice hand with some body but still gathers well.
• Pattern/Color: Bari Citron. From a distance, this is a dark greenish-gold. If you have the Online Auction Color chart, the color seems to fall closest to oac827. The fabric is actually composed of olive green vertical threads and gold horizontal threads They combine to give an overall effect that falls somewhere between gold and green. When you get close to the fabric, you see that the horizontal lines are woven over the vertical. The horizontal lines are mostly gold but there are also some dark green and lighter gold horizontal striations.
• Width: 56" wide including 1/2" selveges on either side so about 56" useable.
• Care: Care was not stated for the fabric; however I took a piece home and it washed very well. Machine wash cool; tumble dry medium.
• Coverage: This is an opaque fabric - you cannot see objects through it and it blocks most light but is not room-darkening.
• Fiber content: Not known for sure but probably polyester.

Uses: Excellent for most window treatments - drapes, curtains, valances and more. Good for slipcovers, pillows, tablecloths and other home dec items. Could be used for upholstery - light to medium use. I probably would not use it on an upholstered piece that receives heavy daily use from children or pets.
