Sister Rhonda’s House

I travelled to my sister Rhonda’s house this morning and she not only let me take pictures of her home for this blog, but she made a lovely lunch for us to share.

This window is in her sitting room. Her dining area, sitting room and living room curtains are made from an InWeave crinkled sheer fabric.

This is in the living room. You can see the curtains here have a valence, while the dining and sitting room curtains are simpler.

This is a lace covered lampshade I sewed for Rhonda many moons ago. As you can see lamps are a good place to display tassels.

Tomorrow I will show the bedroom. Rhonda just sewed a bedspread, bed skirt, throw, pillows and curtains all from InWeave fabrics.

We’ve been dang busy in the store trying to catalog, display and price our lovely new trims. Did I mention Julie bought 30,000 pieces! 30,000 little and not so little beauties! And I will let you in on a little secret, she bought 15,000 yards of new fabric yesterday! We don’t have the complete scoop from Julie on the type of fabric etc. but I will let you know when I get the full story.

Back to the trims, here are some uses I compiled.

Sneak Peek

At InWeave yesterday this decorator wannabe beheld a wondrous site! I saw pallet after pallet of the highest quality tassels, fringes, cording, fringed curtain tiebacks and there were so many boxes still unopened I don’t know what other wonders are still to be uncovered. I took pictures of just a few of the thousands of new items.

Some of these would look very festive on a Christmas tree.

I can see this on a lampshade in a girls room. There were so many more that were just as gorgeous and could be used on bedding, curtain edging, lampshade pulls and curtain tiebacks. The possibilities are endless. These could start appearing on the shelves this Friday. I am not certain how much of this will be available online. I will highlight more trims later this week and hopefully will know more then.
