Saturday, January 28th, 2012

I found this tutorial on Pinterest.  It is so easy.  Buy the bulletin board at any discount store.

You just pry the frame from the cork board, spray paint it black.  Cover the cork with fabric.  Replace the the frame and use small nails to hold it in place.

Inweave has the perfect flocked satins for this project.

Entire project less than $25.

New Rug Store

Thursday, January 26th, 2012

Don and Julie recently purchased the building next door to their current location on main street in Hawarden Iowa.

They already have four huge buildings loaded with fabrics, trims, laces and so much more.

The new building is where the rugs are now displayed and stocked.

There are hundreds of rugs available in our physical store and online at inweaverugs.com.

I love the texture of these rugs.

Durable, washable and lovely too.

If you can’t find the perfect size or colors you can bring color samples and they will make a rug to match.

I need rugs for my house and I am planning to have the weavers match this colorful ball, cutely displayed by my great-neice Caydence . Blues, greens and purples.  What kind of rug do you think this will inspire?

If you are nearby go into the rug weaving facility and pick the exact trimmings you want used in your rugs.

Bring your freinds to check out our new rug building.  Then take a tour, watch the rug weavers do their thing.

Hope to see you soon.

New Upholstery Threads

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

Inweave has received an entire shipment of upholstery thread.

This is just a small sample of the colors available.

This delicious color is Key West Lime.   Yum.

Red Currant.

This is my favorite. It’s called Honey.

These threads should be online soon and if I know Julie (I do), she will put a ridiculously low price on them.

My Apologies

Friday, March 25th, 2011

I have been swamped at home the last two weeks and have neglected this blog terribly.  I started out with a small remodel project, we were going to add  sliding glass doors between our den and kitchen.  Then enlarge a small closet to become a kitchen pantry and put down new flooring (we had white carpet in the dining area and white tile with white grout in the kitchen).  This is what we ended up with last week.

One thing led to another and we ended up gutting most of our living area!

Progress has been made, the drywall taper was here today.  When he is done I can paint.  Then the trim will go on and the floor will be put in.

Oh, did I mention we added a fireplace?  Yeah,  I will be putting stone on the fireplace myself.  Can’t wait.  I found a rustic mantle today at a sawmill and I will be staining and varnishing that.  So anyway, I apologize for neglecting the blog.  I hope you understand?  Watch for more posts on the project, I would love input on paint colors and which InWeave fabric to use for curtains.

Fun Spring Sewing

Easy project to sew with kids.

Make these cute chicks using InWeave fabrics.  Denim chicks with bright flower accents?  How about a patterned crushed taffeta chick?  So many possibilities.
