My Apologies

March 25th, 2011

I have been swamped at home the last two weeks and have neglected this blog terribly.  I started out with a small remodel project, we were going to add  sliding glass doors between our den and kitchen.  Then enlarge a small closet to become a kitchen pantry and put down new flooring (we had white carpet in the dining area and white tile with white grout in the kitchen).  This is what we ended up with last week.

One thing led to another and we ended up gutting most of our living area!

Progress has been made, the drywall taper was here today.  When he is done I can paint.  Then the trim will go on and the floor will be put in.

Oh, did I mention we added a fireplace?  Yeah,  I will be putting stone on the fireplace myself.  Can’t wait.  I found a rustic mantle today at a sawmill and I will be staining and varnishing that.  So anyway, I apologize for neglecting the blog.  I hope you understand?  Watch for more posts on the project, I would love input on paint colors and which InWeave fabric to use for curtains.

I want a new bag!

March 15th, 2011

I am not a purse kind of person.  I think this video might change that.

No sew bag.

I am definately going to try this.  Just have to pick out the perfect fabric.

These are fabrics I am thinking of trying.

I can see this last one as a gigantic beach bag.  Large enough to hold beach towels, toys and swim gear.  The next time I am at the store I will pick up some fabrics and try this.  Leave me a message if there is a fabric you would like to see made up as a bag.  How about denim?  So many choices!

Infinity Scarf

March 4th, 2011

Infinity scarves are everywhere.  First  a video on different ways to wear them.

Love the baby noises from off screen.

Now intructions on how to make the scarf.

The clearest directions I could find were at CraftStylish.com.

You can make these scarves from everything from silk to fur.  Find the right fabric for your scarf at InWeave.  I would love to see one made from the fabric below.

Can you picture it with a black dress outfit?  Find this fabric here at InWeavefabric.com.
