Crayola's "Gold" crayon and is a close match for the fabric. The fabric has a little more yellow with a bit of a green undertone.
56 inches wide including 1/2” selveges.
Drapes well but with a fairly crisp hand and the “rustling” sound typical of taffeta.
Plain (square) weave with sheen.
The diamonds are formed by "pintucking" - little ridges of fabric are raised and then a small seam is sewn giving the fabric a wonderful texture.
The diamonds are approximately 6” in diameter.
Opaque: although it does not block all light, it blocks most light – in general, you cannot see shapes/shadows through the fabric.
50% polyester, 50% nylon -- dry cleaning recommended by manufacturer but you may machine wash on cold, gentle and tumble dry on medium.
Nice weight - about 3.3 oz. per square yard.
Beautiful alternative to silk drapery fabrics.
