Janey-Aloe Upholstery Fabric

$6.99

UNY-JA22

Specifics:

  • Type of Fabric: Very nice 1st quality light to mid-weight upholstery fabric with a lightly rubberized (latex) back. Fabric is very pliable and is soft to the touch. If you've thought about chenille or cut-velvet, this would be a good alternative - soft but not plush.
  • Pattern/Color: Janey-Aloe. Fabric is a beautiful shade of light green. The crayons are "spring green" and "sea green" from a box of 96 Crayolas. The "Spring Green" is lighter and yellow and the "Sea Green" is more blue than the fabric. The fabric is just a really pretty shade of soft green -- you might call it deep celery or light moss. Although the predominant color is soft green, there are background yarns in rusty brown and turquoise -- this adds interest to the fabric and makes it more practical than a totally solid color.
  • Fiber content: 82% Olefin; 18% polyester. Characteristics of olefin fibers: gives good cover; abrasion resistant; colorfast; quick drying; low static; resists deterioration from chemicals, mildew, perspiration, rot and weather; stain & soil resistant; strong; sunlight resistant; lightweight.
  • Width: 56 1/2" including 3/4" selvages on either side. As you look at the photo, the selvages are to your right and left.
  • Durability/Weight: lightweight upholstery fabric (about 9 oz./square yard) with a rubberized back.
  • Fabric care: Professional upholstery cleaning recommended. Is treated with a stain resistant finish (Scotchguard or similar); however, cleaning/laundering removes the finish. Spot clean with lukewarm water & mild detergent. Both olefin and polyester are washable; however, you should wash a test piece first. If you decide to launder, line dry or tumble dry on no heat or very low heat. Should dry rapidly. Do not iron.
  • Manufacturer: Swavelle/Mill Creek.
