Specifics:

  • Type of Fabric: Beautiful 1st quality tapestry upholstery fabric. Exact fiber content unknown but believed to be a cotton-poly blend. Does not have a rubberized back. First quality fabric - manufacturer's original sugested retail price was $37.10/yard.
  • Pattern/Color:,/b> Japonica-Willow. The fabric is woven in a patchwork-like pattern in willow green, taupe, gold and cream. You might want to "railroad" this fabric -- it seems like the images are more distinct that way although you could also use it without railroading. The "patchwork" is made up of a series of squares. There are willow green squares that appear to have stylized ivory line-drawn "trees" surrounded by "rainbow-like" arches in taupe and cream. There are brown squares with cream and taupe oak-like leaves woven in. There are several gold squares -- one with a "willow-branch" type pattern woven in; one with an elongated leaf pattern woven in; and one with an elm-like leaf pattern woven in -- they have a surface that is quilted and are in a cream color over gold. Overall the fabric is in soft earthy tones -- gold, willow green, cream, taupe, brown and would be beautiful for many reupholstery projects. Lots of interesting textures -- great feel overall. Crayons in the top photo are "gold" and "yellow green" from a box of 96 Crayolas.
  • Finish: Protective finish (Scotchgard or similar).
  • Backing: Has a lightly rubberized (latex) backing for added wear and durability.
  • Weight: Mid-weight tapestry upholstery - about 11 oz. per square (not running) yard.
  • Hand: Firm hand but is supple and has good flexibility.
  • Width: 56 inches wide (54" usable plus 1" selvage on each side). As you look at photo, selvages are to your left and right.
  • Pattern Repeat: 24 1/4" vertically (running with the selvage) and 28" horizontally.
  • Care: Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended.
