Specifics:

  • Type of Fabric: 1st quality mid-weight tapestry upholstery fabric. The pattern is woven into the fabric. Fabric is tightly woven with a smooth feel. Fiber content was not on any of the labels but it is probably a rayon blend (either rayon-cotton or rayon-synthetic). This fabric is woven from a fine yarn and has a fairly hard finish -- it is not soft like knitting-yarn type tapestries. Fabric has a lightly rubberized back for durability. First quality upholstery fabric -- manufacturer's original retail price was $25.60/yard.
  • Pattern/Color: Floral pattern in a soft color palette -- shades of coral, rusty burgundy, mauve, cream and olive green on a yellow ground. Our in-store name for this fabric is "Rusty Tropics" -- the floral pattern is lush and reminds me of the tropics but the coloration is more rusty or fall toned. The crayons are "olive green" and "peach" from a box of 96 Crayolas.
  • Finish: Protective finish (Scotchgard or similar). Rubberized (latex) back. Should provide excellent durability and long wear.
  • Weight: Mid-weight to heavyweight tapestry upholstery fabric - about 13 oz. per square (not running yard).
  • Hand: Firm hand but is supple and has good flexibility.
  • Width: 55 inches wide. As you look at photo, selveges are to your left and right.
  • Pattern Repeat: 28½" vertical repeat (running with the selvage); 27" horizontal repeat (running across the width of the fabric).
  • Manufacturer: Ametex. Pattern is Manorville-Honeysuckle.
  • Care: Professional upholstery cleaning is recommended.
