Braided Fleece Blanket

Good afternoon.  Yesterday we posted a new project and hope you have had the time to check it out.  This is just another option of how to make a different style fleece blanket.  It does require a little sewing but not too much and takes about 1 1/2 hours to 2 depending on how large you make it.  Since the fleece is 60" wide, we chose 1 2/3 yards to make it square, however, you can do any length that you desire. 

The braided effect gives it another look which is really nice.  It takes a little time to do the braiding but the final result is really neat.  You can choose to do two plain colors rather than a pattern and a plain of the fleece.  This blanket is really nice for those cold football games and you can use your school colors to make it extra special.  We all know that the fleece is really warm and it is easy to care for.  With those cool nights coming, this is a great blanket.
