Jewelry Gift Pouch

Good evening.  We are posting our new project today.  We have chosen to do a jewelry gift pouch.  This takes approximately an hour to an hour and a half. 

For this project you will need the following:    1/4 yard Charmeuse Satin - Print

                                                                  1/4 yard Charmeuse Satin - Plain

                                                                  2/3 yard Ribbon

                                                                  Thread

Next you will cut each piece to the size you want.  We chose to do our pieces 10" high and 8" wide.  You will then pin right sides together.

Now you will sew each piece along the sides.

After you have done this, you will pin the two with right sides together and sew.  Be sure to leave approximately a 2" opening so that you can invert.

After you have finished the above step and inverted it, then you will pin it.

Top stitch all around the top to give it a nice finished edge.

Next you will bring it to the inside approximately 1/2" so that you create a casing.

Sew along the bottom edge but remember to leave approximately an inch opening. 

Take your ribbon and pull it through the casing.

You now have a beautiful jewelry gift pouch.  Our finished size was 6 1/2" high and 8 1/2" wide.
