Minky Pillow

We hope you all had a great weekend.  We have been working on the minky pillow.  This is a really easy way to make a pillow cover and we chose to use minky fabric because it is so soft.  You can use other fabrics as well if you desire.  This is a great way to make a pillow so you do not have to put in a zipper or slip stitch an opening shut.  If you have leather furniture, zippers can ruin the leather so this is an option of making a decorative pillow without having to worry about that zipper tearing it.  This works for any size pillow.  It is also easy to care for when you need to wash it as it just slips off the form.

The minky pillow we did for this project could also be used as a pillow sham.  The minky makes this pillow look so rich not only in color but texture as well.  In-Weave in Hawarden, Iowa, carries a nice selection of minky prints as well as plain colors.  There are the safari prints, softee dots, plains, dots, chevron and so much more.  There is something for everyone.  If you have not visited In-Weave, take a drive and check them out.
