Sewing

Good evening.  The snow has moved in and winter has arrived.  What better time than to start those sewing projects we all have been putting off.  Sewing an item to give as a gift for the holidays is special for the person receiving.  Now is a great time to think of those who are less fortunate than you are.  

There are many people in the nursing homes or assisted living who have no one or their families are far away.  Think about sewing something for them.  Blankets are a great gift as you do not have to make a large one.  A lap blanket for them is perfect. 

As well as adults, there are many children who do not receive holiday gifts due to lack of funds.  Think about them and check out the organizations that help with this.  No matter the age, we all enjoy receiving a gift and one that is homemade is extra special.  Until tomorrow.
