Sewing/Upholstery

Good evening everyone.  We have now finished with the sheet set.  We are going to blog a little about sewing and upholstery for a few days.  If you are someone who wants to learn to sew, check in your area for opportunities for classes.  Be sure to take the time as well to learn about the different types of fabrics.  Depending on what you want to sew, you want to be sure to pick the right type of fabric for the project you are doing. 

There is no question that is ever wrong to ask.  If you are in doubt about a fabric, be sure to ask as there may be more than one option available to you.  There are many different types of fabrics out there.  There are cottons, knits, polyester, nylon, rayon, lycra, spandex, etc.  Depending on what you are making, you will want to be sure you have the right fabric.  At In-Weave in Hawarden, Iowa, they have a huge selection of different fabrics and certainly can help you with what you are looking for.
