Tied Fleece Blanket

Here it is Wednesday and time for us to post a new project.   We know that a lot of you know how to do this fleece blanket but thought it would be a good refresher for someone who has not done it in a while and even for that person who has never done it before.  This is a project that requires no sewing but makes a wonderful blanket for yourself or to give as a gift.

To begin this project you will need the following:    2 1/2 yards of fleece of one pattern

2 1/2 yards of fleece of another pattern

                                                                          Scissors

Next you will take your two pieces of fleece and make sure they are even in the width and length.

Now you will make yourself a small template so you know how much to cut into.  We did 4" length and 1" width cuts.  You will do this around the entire blanket.

When you get to the corners, you will cut just like you have been doing, but you will end up with 4 strips that you will dispose of on the corners.

This is how is will look after you cut the 4 strips away.

Now take your 2 strips of each pattern and tie them together twice (they will form a knot).

You will continue to do this all around the blanket.  After you have done this, you are finished and have a beautiful fleece blanket to keep you warm on those cool fall evenings and upcoming winter months.
