Upholstery

Good afternoon.  We are going to be sharing an upholstery project with you next week.  Until then, if you wish to follow along with a small project please do so.  It will give you an opportunity to try your hand at doing some upholstering.  As we shared yesterday, taking the old apart is more time consuming than actually putting the new upholstery on.  Be sure to decide if you want your item to be distressed or if you want it to look like a brand new piece of furniture.  That is up to you.  Maybe you just want to keep it the way it is.  It depends on what you are wanting to achieve.

When deciding on upholstery, remember that some require a match while others do not.  If this is your first time, you may want to have upholstery that has no pattern to follow.  You will need to decide if you want a jacquard, chenille, or maybe a micro suede, for example.  Look at where you are going to be putting this piece in your home and what you have coordinating with it.

Have a great weekend and we will be back on Monday.
